On the production of the lightest hypernucleus 3ΛH in high energy nuclear collisions

Description
The production of lightest and extremely weak-bound hypernucleus Λ3H in high-energy nuclear collisions is studied for two different mechanisms; (1) coalescence of a deuteron fragment from peripheral collisions and the Λ-hyperon, and (2) coalescence of Λ, neutron and proton, all from central collisions. The respective cross sections are found to be comparable but with distinct rapidity distributions. (orig.)
