Study on the antiradiation effect of organic selenium and taurine
- 1. China Institute for Radiation Protection, Taiyuan (China)
Description
Radiation protection effect was studied of organic selenium and taurine on KM mice irradiated by 60Co gamma ray. The results show that organic selenium and taurine could increase 30 d survival rate, averaged 7.9 days. GSH and antibody cumulation values of serum hemolysin (ACVH) were significantly higher. SOD was increased in mice treated with high dose and middle dose. Weight ratio of spleen versus body was significantly higher in mice treated with high dose. (authors)
