Activated corrosion product transport research related to WWER-440s in Hungary - measurements and modelling

Description

A model is given for activity build-up and corrosion product transport in the primary circuit of WWER-440 type reactors, considering the main physico-chemical processes of particle generation, deposition and erosion and soluble activity generation and incorporation into the growing out-core oxide layer. A comparison of calculated, measured and literature data was done, and its results are reported. Fields of uncertain data in the modelling process are identified and possible means of obtaining them are surveyed. (author)
