A report of the Nuclear Power Subcommittee, Advisory Committee for Energy

Description

In recent years, in those developing countries the development of nuclear power generation is being tackled positively. However, the development requires comprehensive and sophisticated technologies, the respective countries thus encountering the problem of insufficient adequate personnel. Japan, which has achieved its own technologies in nuclear power, with extremely good operational results, is to offer aids in such as the personnel training, safety management, etc. Based on the requests from those countries, the assistance should be extended in the respective stages of nuclear power development. Contents are the following: significance of the cooperation in nuclear power generation, basic policy of the cooperation, fundamental problems concerning the cooperation, assistances in concrete form in the future.
