79Se determination in radioactive concentrates

  • 1. Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University, Bratislava (Slovakia)

Description

The distillation method for Se separation was optimized. The material was distilled from (4-6.5) mol/l HCl. The presence of HBr was found necessary for the distillation. Distillation yield was determined by adding TiCl3 and NH2OH.HCl for reduction. A procedure to remove interferents followed. This quantitative determination method was applied to the determination of 79Se in radioactive concentrates from Slovak NPPs. (P.A).
