Description
Microstructure and properties of the Kh16N6 steel brazed joints have been studied as affected by conditions of high-temperature vacuum brazing and thermal treatment. The best mechanical properties were observed after brazing by palladium-nickel solder followed by termal treatment. During hardening, which involves heating to 1000 deg C in air, the depth of oxydation of the metal in the joint decreases with temperature and duration of brazing. Increase in the gap and decrease in the temperature of the Pd-Ni brazing results in high toughness of the joint
