Description
Expressions for differential and integral cross sections of atom polarization transformation in collisions have been derived in the random phase approximation (neglect of Stueckelberg oscillations and interferential effects of the rainbow type). These expressions contain differential scattering cross sections with adiabatic molecular terms and probabilities of atomic polarization transformation to molecular one. Results of the work generalize earlier investigated cases of scattering cross section dependence on initial polarization and polarization origination for arbitrary values of electron angular momentum
