Description
Wuliying is located in the conjunction spot between Yan-Liao and Daxing'anling metallogenic belts, also part of Guoyuan-Hongshanzi uranium polymetallic belt. This area is featured by the occurrence of dikes that intruded into volcanic rocks of Zhangjiakou formation (Upper Jurassic). This dikes were controlled by faults and volcanic structures of Late Yanshanian in spatial, resulted from extension of crust, and related to uranium-polymetallic mineralization in genesis. In lithologies, these dikes could be divided into basaltic-andesitic porphyrite, andesitic porphyrite, and dacite porphyrite. The authors discussed the genetic relationship between dikes and volcanic rocks, and dikes controls on uranium polymetallic mineralization, through investigation of drilling cores and U spots in this area.
