Fifth anniversary: perspective from the USSR
Description
At the fifth anniversary Chernobyl conferences in the Soviet Union, dismay and disbelief greeted the results of the IAEA's International Chernobyl Project's assessment of the health consequences. Details of the criticisms of the assessment are presented in this report. Concerns were also voiced about the fuel still inside the stricken reactor. (author)
