Avoided emissions, what are we talking about? Technical sheet
Description
This technical sheet aims at explaining the different concepts met when dealing with the climatic impact of activities, services and products, and at guiding decision makers and users towards good practices, in terms of assessment and of communication. Thus, it more particularly deciphers the concept of 'avoided emissions'. It explains what can be actually understood in a communication such as: 'while buying this product, you save so much tons of CO2 for the climate' or 'my company reduces every year its emissions of 3 per cent while our clients are part of the avoidance of so much tons of CO2'.
