Implications for quark-parton distributions from some recent high-energy experiments

Description
It is pointed out that recent high energy experiments on (i) production of dilepton continuum in pp collisions and (ii) the dip for small in the νWsub(2) function per nucleon (assuming scaling) in muon-deuterium deep inelastic scattering, severely limit the options on various possible quark parton distributions. The modified Kuti-Weisskopf distribution appear to be unique in surviving these tests reasonably well
