Method of decontamination of radioactive solutions and water and equipment therefor
Description
Radioactive solutions or water are vacuum forced (0.01 MPa to 0.1 MPa) through a sorbent or ion exchanger in a fabric and metal filter sleeve. The decontamination installation is characteristic of a configuration in which the contactor with the bottom inlet of contaminated liquid consists of a cylindrical vessel in which is centrally placed the metal filter sleeve in which is placed the fabric sleeve. The upper edge of the fabric sleeve reaches over the contactor flange. In the fabric sleeve is placed the sorption bed. The metal and fabric sleeves are replaceable. (J.P.)
