Hadron bubbles in nuclear matter

  • 1. I. V. Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy, Moscow

Description

Nonlinear effects in the interaction of hadrons with a nucleus are analyzed. It is shown that K+ mesons form bubbles in nuclear matter which are similar to electron bubbles in liquid helium. Charged pions produced in collisions of heavy relativistic ions may collect and form droplets approx.5--7 Fm in size containing approx.102 particles
