Pressure effects in point contacts with heavy-fermion CeCu2Ge2

  • 1. Technische Hochschule Darmstadt (Germany). Inst. fuer Festkoerperphysik

Description

Pressure-type point contacts between the antiferromagnetically ordering CeCu2Ge2 (TN=4.2K) and simple metals have been investigated. We found a reduced Neel temperature (<3.5K) at the contact. A number of contacts showed superconducting anomalies (excess current) below 0.7K and with critical magnetic fields around 2T. Both, the reduced TN and the appearance of superconducting anomalies result from the high pressure at the contact. ((orig.))
