New developments in the problem of a complete experiment for photoinduced Auger processes

Description
A theoretical analysis of the problem of a complete experiment, i.e. experimental determination of all Auger amplitudes and their relative phases for a particular transition, is given. It is shown, that recently found relations between intrinsic parameters which determine the angular distribution and spin polarization of Auger electrons make it impossible to realize a complete experiment by measuring the characteristics of Auger electrons only. Additional information about the polarization state of the ion in the final state is necessary
