Tunneling measurements on (Lasub(1-x)Cesub(x))Al2 single crystals with wax barriers
Description
In the investigation of the Kondo superconductor (Lasub(1-x)Cesub(x))Al2 a new technique is developed to fabricate tunnel junctions of the type: bulk sample - wax barrier - evaporated counterelectrode. Pb, Al, Ag, Au and Mg are used as counterelectrodes. Measurements employing Pb and Al yield the order parameter of nominally pure LaAl2: Δ0 = (0.47 +- 0.03) meV = 1.63 kTsub(c). The large influence of localized states within the gap is confirmed. (orig.)

Bei der Untersuchung des Kondo-Supraleiters (Lasub(1-x)Cesub(x))Al2 wird ein neues Verfahren zur Herstellung von Tunneluebergaengen der Art Gesamtprobe - Wachssperrschicht - aufgedampfte Gegenelektrode entwickelt. Als Gegenelektroden dienen Pb, Al, Ag, Au und Mg. Messungen mit Pb und Al ergeben den Ordnungsparameter fuer nominell reines LaAl2 zu Δ0 = (0,47 +- 0,03) meV = 1,63 kTsub(c). Der starke Einfluss lokalisierter Zustaende innerhalb der Luecke wird bestaetigt. (orig.)Additional details
