Pwr secondary system behavior for postulated pipe rupture
Description
The secondary system of a pressurized water reactor plant was modeled on the RELAP4 Computer Code. A sensitivity study was undertaken on a simplified model to investigate different modeling techniques and program options. Hypothetical guillotine breaks were simulated in the mainsteam and the feedwater lines. The thermal hydraulic performance of the secondary system under these abnormal operating conditions was evaluated for safe shutdown of the plant. 11 refs
