Description
The perturbation expansion of the ground-state energy of a many-fermion system interacting via a repulsive boson is investigated. The large-order behaviour of this series is related to the instanton solution of the effective boson Lagrangian. It is determined by the collapsed state of the system, where all fermions are in a volume determined by the Compton-wavelength of the boson. The series is only weakly diverging because of cancellations. The Borel and Borel-Pade resumations of the series are indicated
