A comparative radioisotope study of calcium metabolism in bone and teeth of rats

Investigations with bone-seeking radionuclides (47Ca, sup(99m)Tc-PP, 113Sn) in rats of different age demonstrated a true accumulation in teeth as compared to bone. Blood flow was evaluated by sup(99m)TcO4 nd 51Cr-Albumin. Differences of accumulation depended on the isotopes used and on the age of the animals. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Durch tierexperimentelle Untersuchungen an Ratten unterschiedlichen Alters konnte durch den Vergleich von osteotropen Substanzen (47Ca, 99mTc-PP und 113Sn) der Nachweis einer echten Anreicherung in den Zähnen im Vergleich zum Knochen erbracht werden, wobei zur Bestimmung der Durchblutungsgröße 99mTc-Pertechnetat und 51Cr-Albumin verwandt wurden. Es ergaben sich Unterschiede in der Höhe der Anreicherung der verschiedenen osteotropen Substanzen untereinander sowie auch in Abhängigkeit vom Alter der Tiere.Additional details
