Description
NQR studies of 27Al in CePd2Al3 of powdered single crystals and polycrystals were carried out to investigate the structural instabilities in CePd2Al3. NQR spectra show sample dependence and secular change. Furthermore NQR spectra show a temperature dependence above 4.2K around crystal field splittings. These results suggest that the local symmetry of Al atoms has strong instabilities. The sample dependence of various physical properties are possibly related to the structural instabilities.
