New results on photon scattering and pion production on the nucleon
Creators
Description
Recent experiments at three new accelerator facilities in Brookhaven, Mainz and Saskatoon have been performed that will contribute to our understanding of hadron structure. These experiments are Compton scattering at intermediate energy (Sakatoon) and p(γ, πo) measurements have been carried out using polarized photons in the region of the Δ resonance (Brookhaven) and at threshold (Mainz). These data will be reviewed and related to the nuclear polarizability and deformation of the Δ and Low Energy Theorems
