Description

In a study of Si XI n=3 to n=4 transition arrays highly resolved beam-foil spectra in the spectral region 13-16 nm were compared with simulated spectra computed with a Hartree-Fock-Relativistic program package. The computational method involved the scaling of Slater parameters. The general structure of measured and simulated spectra is very similar, but systematic level shifts are apparent. Population and cascade effects notably affect the relative line intensities of transitions which originate from high angular momentum terms. (orig.)
