Mathematical model for production process of titanium by hydrogen reduction of titanium tetrachloride from gaseous vapor mixture TiCl4-H2-N2

Description

The experimental results are reported on non-stoichiometric titanium nitride deposition on various surfaces and a molybdenum wire. Titanium nitride deposition rate is presented in polynomial form and titanium recovery from gaseous phase is given as a function of temperature input TiCl4, H2, N2 mixture flow rate. The activation energy of the process is found to be 98,23 kJ/mol and 11,35 kJ for temperatures below and above 1473 K, respectively. Refs. 6, figs. 3, tabs. 4
