Colorimetric determination of trace benzotriazole or tolytriazole
Description
A new method is described based on the photo=chemical decomposition of the triazole under certain chemical conditions. A yellow-colored complex is formed stoichiometrically to the concentration of benzotriazole or tolyltriazole present in aqueous solution. Rapid and easy to use, the method is relatively free of interferences. The test has been employed successfully in both laboratory and field situations by water treatment personnel
