Description

The polymer coating type metallic nano particle of hydrogen absorber was prepared, and the crystal structure and the characteristics of hydrogen absorption were studied. It comes to be able to control the size of the metal by the nanometer, and the hydrogen absorption characteristics of the metal such as Pd, Pt, and Ni were examined. It is clarified the nano particle of it have different characteristics of the hydrogen absorption from their bulk metals. Moreover, the hydrogen in the metallic nano particle was found to show a quantum-wave behavior by the solid nuclear magnetic resonance measurement under the extremely low temperature. (H. Katsuta)
