Description
We have developed a novel approach to entanglement, suitable to be used in general quantum systems and specially in systems of identical particles. The approach is based on the GNS construction of representation of C ∗ -algebra of observables. In particular, the notion of partial trace is replaced by the more general notion of restriction of a state to a subalgebra. We here recollect some simple examples of the application of this novel approach after reviewing the GNS construction.
