Elastic and inelastic scattering of nucleons from 16O

Description

The objective of the present investigations is to obtain elastic and inelastic cross sections for neutron scattering from 16O at the incident energy between 18 and 26 MeV. The data along with the available nucleon scattering data are the main ingredients in the study of various features of nucleon interactions with 16O. Phenomenological and microscopic optical model potentials are applied to describe the cross sections. An empirical optical model is developed to calculate cross sections which are needed to calculate quantities for applied purposes
