Study of standardized dosimetric parameters of film detectors of absorbed dose of ionizing radiation

  • 1. USSR State Committee for Quality and Standards, Moscow (USSR). National Inst. for Physical-Technical and Radiotechnical Measurements

Description

The results of metrological studies of chemical detectors based on polymer material doped with azene dyes are presented. A quantitative evaluation of the factors affecting the sensitivity of the detectors has been made. Standardized characteristics (calibrating characteristic, uncertainty, applicability limits) have been defined. The possibility of using the detectors of electron and photon radiation for measuring absorbed dose of other kinds of radiation (protons, neutrons, bremsstrahlung) are touched upon.
