The WISMUT project: Land reclamation and revitalisation in former uranium mining sites in Saxony and Thuringia
Description
Since 1991, Wismut GmbH at Chemnitz has been working on land recovery and revitalisation in the former SDAG Wismut mining site. After 15 years of this project, the face of that area has changed continuously and sustainably. Sanitation measures will be finished by 2015. (orig.)
