Moessbauer experiments in analogy to optical activity

Description
It is pointed out that the linearly polarized γ-radiation from the source (polarizer) can be represented as a superposition of right and left circularly polarized γ-radiation, and the optical effects of the γ-radiation transversing the transmitter can be understood by considering the corresponding indices of refraction
