Description
A prototype magnicon designed for the RF source of a ''normal'' conducting electron--positron linear collider is described. Its main operation parameters are a power output of 50 MW, at a frequency of 7 GHz and with a pulse duration of 2 μsec. The described magnicon is an amplifier operating in frequency doubling mode
