Model calculation of resonant multiphoton ionization

  • 1. Johns Hopkins Univ., Baltimore, Md. (USA). Dept. of Physics
  • 2. Science Applications, Inc., McLean, Va. (USA)

Description

A simple model of resonant multiphoton ionization is presented. General qualitative predictions of the model are discussed, and values of parameters are indicated for which transition rates exist. The effective order of non linearity of the process is shown to vary greatly over the resonance profile. Improvement to the model and their effects are considered. (Auth.)
