Molecular structure of C60 and high Tc superconductivity of K3C60
Description
The discovery of C60 and the superconductivity of its alloy compounds provide a rich field for new theoretical and experimental investigations. In this paper, we show that the near degeneracy of the low-lying vector (T1u) and axial-vector (T1g) levels of an isolated C60- may provide a simple pairing mechanism in C60--, C60--- and the KnC60 crystal.
