Determination of radiation characteristics in operating areas and stacks during power start-up of Unit 1 of V-1 nuclear power plant

Description

The radiation testing programme was developed and conducted during the power start-up of the V-1 nuclear power plant consisting of experimental research into the occurrence of radioactive aerosols, iodine (including its various physico-chemical forms), tritium, and transuranium elements, mainly plutonium in selected operating areas, from the sealed boxes of the primary circuit to the ventilation system up to the stack. The methodology, equipment and results obtained are discussed. The results confirmed the good radiation situation in the plant during the experimental full-load operation. (author)
