A study on γ-ray irradiation precuring of natural rubber

Description
Natural rubber(NR) was procured by γ-ray irradiation. The crosslinking degree and green strength of NR were studied at the different absorbed dose. The effects of γ-ray irradiation precuring on the final mechanical property were evaluated. The results showed that the crosslinking degree and green strength of NR were heightened with increasing absorbed dose at 0-100 kGy. The final mechanical properties were not significant different between the irradiation precuring and non-procuring of NR. This results show that the irradiation precuring of NR can be realized.
