Construction and fabrication of a hot X-ray diffraction chamber for studying the reaction between Nb-Ti and N2

Description
An high temperature chamber for the X-ray diffraction of UNESP-Presidente Prudente, in Brazil, to study the reaction between the Nb-Ti alloy and the nitrogen gas, was constructed. The phases formed during the reaction are identified, the alterations of lattice parameters during the formation of metal-gas solid solution solution are observed, and information on Kinetic and the advance of nitridation from the surface to the interior of these sample. Foi construida uma camara de alta temperatura para o difratometro de raios-x da UNESP-Presidente Prudente, para estudar a reacao entre a liga Nb-Ti e o gas nitrogenio. Identificam-se as fases formadas durante a reacao, observam-se as alteracoes dos parametros de rede durante a formacao da solucao solida metal-gas e obtem-se informacoes sobre a cinetica e o avanco de nitretracao da superficie para o interior da amostra.
