Development of a reliable C-band accelerator

Description

A C-band buncher-accelerator was designed at a request of Nihon University. The design was a challenging task since the accelerator's injection part was short and also the waveguide (WG) should have been made as short as possible due to a solenoid coil outside of the accelerator. 3D EM simulation and 2D/3D RF simulations were performed in order to overcome those design limitations. With the accurate simulations, high quality was achieved while reducing the number of processes. (author)
