Nuclear power: putting the risks into perspective

  • 1. London Univ. (UK)
  • 2. Central Electricity Generating Board, Berkeley (UK). Berkeley Nuclear Labs.

Description

The dose-response curve at low doses have been used to attack the nuclear industry in the current nuclear debate. It is suggested that there is no single curve but a variety of curves, depending on dose rate, age, volume of tissue irradiated, type of radiation and so on. Cancer risks due to ionising radiation are considered. (U.K.)
