CsI(Tl) crystal scintillation detectors for computer tomography
Description
Uniformity of light yield and afterglow of the SDN.109 scintillation detectors for neurodiagnostics tomographs of the SRT 1010 second generation and the SDN.08 detectors for the SRT 5500 tomographs is studied. It is shown that 88% of detectors have millisecond afterglow of <0.1% and maximum sensitivity spread of combined detectors on their basis constitutes 8-12%. The scintillator dynamic range equals 108. Coefficients of radiation application are calculated and it is shown that CsI(Tl)-scintillator is efficient in combination with photomultipliers as well as with photodiodes
