Description

The Loss-of-Fluid Test (LOFT) test facility, program objectives, and the experiments planned are described. The LOFT facility is related to the smaller semiscale facility and the larger commercial pressurized water reactors. The fact that LOFT is a computer model assessment tool rather than a demonstration test is emphasized. Various types of reactor safety experiments planned through 1983 are presented. Die Loss-of-Fluid Test (LOFT) Versuchsanlage, die Programmziele sowie die geplanten Experimente werden beschrieben. Die LOFT-Versuchsanlage ist ein wichtiges Verbindungsglied zwischen der kleineren Semiscale-Versuchsanlage und einem Grossreaktor. Die Tatsache, dass LOFT ein bedeutendes Instrument zur Bewertung von Computer Codes darstellt und kein Demonstrationsversuch ist, wird hervorgehoben. Verschiedene Reaktorsicherheitsexperimente, die bis 1983 geplant sind, werden dargestellt. (orig.)
