Other industrial applications of nuclear methods
Description
A brief summary is presented of nuclear measuring methods applied in industry other than level, density, thickness, moisture and material composition measurements. The applications of radioisotopic methods include the continuous measurement of conveyor belts, the checking of package filling, smoke detection, eliminating static charges, measuring the density and mositure content of soils, wall thickness measurement with reflection techniques, and level findings. Portable nuclear instruments for rapid on-the-spot measurements are also overviewed. (R.P.) 11 figs
