Effect of fillers granulometric composition on physical and mechanical properties of fine graphite

Description

Effect of granulometric composition of two-component filler mixtures, differing by grain size, on thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) and physico-mechanical properties; of fine graphites was investigated. It is shown that TEC of fine graphites, prepared from mixtures of two fillers, differing by grain size, is determined by the type (structure) of the most coarse component. Introduction of fine-dispersed addition (40 mass%) into the filler doesn't affect TEC, but enables to vary physicomechanical properties of graphites. Reduction of particle size of the addition results to increase of the ratio of compression strength to elasticity modulus
