Description

The framework for management and activities of INIS (International Nuclear Information System) is outlined on the basis of the rule 'Definition of Membership Arragement for INIS' which was approved by IAEA in 1985. Recent statistical figures are shown on INIS input, which are itemized by inputting country, subject category, literature type and language. Also shown are various INIS retrieval services in Japan and INIS on-line service by direct access to IAEA from Member States. 'General Review of INIS Operations' has been made by IAEA in cooperation with Member States since the beginning of 1985. Main topics of the review are presented on subject scope, coverage, timeliness and assistance to developing countries. (author)
