Adsorption of free steroids with charcoal-gelatin disks in radioimmunoassays

Description
The preparation of charcoal-gelatin disks and their use for removing free steroid in radioimmunoassays are described. Plasma concentrations of several steroids were determined using charcoal-gelatin disks or charcoal suspension and the results are compared. The advantages of using charcoal-gelatin disks are discussed. (author)
