Elastic PP scattering at large | t | and quark scattering amplitude in quantum chromodynamics
Description
It is shown that to explain the recently measured data (FNAL and ISR) on elastic pp scattering at large momentum transfers | t | one may apply a simple model that connects hadron-hadron scattering with the quark-quark scattering amplitude. Here the effective coupling constant of quarks with gluons has the value αsub(s) (Q2)=0.6 at Q2=5 GeV2/c2
