Nonminimal gauge kinetic terms in supersymmetric SU(5)
Description
A two loop renormalization group analysis is used to decide the question of the non-minimality of gauge kinetic terms in supersymmetric SU(5) GUT. One loop threshold effects of the light susy particles are taken into account without approximation. The analysis shows that present experimental results put limits on non minimal gauge kinetic terms of the supergravity sector. For a reasonable value of the susy scale the results are consistent with trivial matching conditions for the coupling constants at the GUT scale MX. (orig.)
