Observation and investigation of narrow state in Σ-(1385)K+ system
Description
New data on the production and the investigation of a narrow resonance decaying into Σ-(1385)K+ are obtained. The mass of the resonance is 1956sub(-6)sup(+8) MeV/c2 and its width is 14+-12 MeV/c2. The resonance is produced in a diffraction dissociation process of neutrons on a quasi-free nucleons of carbon nuclei. The slope parameter of the Psub(T)sup(2) differential cross section is equal to 9.9+-3.0 (GeV/c)-2. The partial cross section times the branching ratio is 0.22+-0.04 μb per nucleon. The resonance has one of the natural spin-particles: 5/2+, 7/2-
