Nonperturbative solutions to the Dyson-Schwinger equations of pure QCD

  • 1. Technische Univ. Muenchen, Garching (Germany). Inst. fuer Theoretische Physik

Description

The selfconsistent reproduction of nonperturbative power corrections to vertices is reviewed. The operator product expansion is used to obtain an ansatz for the nonperturbative vertices of pure QCD. It is shown that the Dyson-Schwinger equation for the ghost selfenergy is selfconsistently solved by them if the logarithmic renormalization group improvement is taken into account. It is found that Ward-identities are satisfied, but that dimension four operators which are not BRS-invariant contribute to the operator product expansion of the vertices. This result is interpreted as an indication that BRS-symmetry may be spontaneously broken. (author) 22 refs
