Description

The application possibilities are discussed of 128Cs in positron emission tomography in imaging the myocardium and in assessing regional blood flow. A generator was designed for the preparation of 128Cs from 128Ba based on the principle of extraction chromatography. The preparation is described of radionuclide 128Ba used for the reaction, the preparation of the target and its treatment following irradiation. (J.C.)
