Description
The available relevant experimental data on the neutron-induced (n, 2p) reactions, as well as the reaction cross-sections around 14 MeV neutron energy are reviewed for the interval of 11 ≤ Z ≤ 65. A new empirical expression for the (n, 2p) reaction cross-sections has been obtained by fitting the experimental values as a function of (N - Z) and (En - Eth)1/2, where (N - Z) is the neutron excess of the target nucleus, En and Eth are the incident neutron energy and the (n, 2p) threshold energy, respectively. It is seen that the empirical relation gives good fits with the experimental values. (orig.)
